The Management Board is the Body of the Authority, with advisory and propositional functions, that assists and supports the General Management in governing the Authority. It is constitued by the General Manager, who has the function of president, by the Administrative Director, the Medical Director, the Directors of the Departments and by the Hospital Medical Directors.

The General Manager is assisted by the Board for the management of clinical activities, for the planning and assessment of technical and healthcare activities and of highly integrated healthcare activities. Moreover, the Board supports the General Manager for the planning of Authority activities, for the employment of human resources and for the organization and development of services, also applying the departmental model. The Board also contributes to the development of training plans, to the organization of private intramural practice and to the assessment of achieved results, in relation to clinical objectives. Moreover, it contributes to the development of the Authority Quality System, with the collaboration of the directors of the “Quality” and “Training” Divisions.

The meetings of the Management Board are convened by the General Manager. The attendance of at least half of the members is necessary for the sessions of the Management Board to be valid. The Management of other Authority Divisions can also be invited to attend the Board, according to the subjects that have to be dealt with.

The Management Board is assisted by staff divisions for all the document review activities on the subjects within its competence.
